We opted to get the cheapest chicks since we were unaware how they would hold up under the kids loving care....So far so good we still have all 6! Those 6 chicks have been everywhere! Hayden has watched TV with them, rested with them, snuggled with them, tried to hand feed them, you name it he has done it. Velvet has had 2 close squeezes, but all is well. I was happy when mom took them home with her tonight! Hayden assured me that they could sleep right by me in the living room, but I am just not a bird lover like mom! I told her I will keep the calf I plan to get them to bottle feed! Josh is not quite on board with that one yet, but he will be.
Well I have to get in bed...I have a early morning tomorrow. Dad has surgery in Corvallis and I am the driver! 6 am comes early! My poor babies will get tossed from there beds once again! Wish us luck! Enjoy the pics! SCROLL DOWN TO SEE MY FAVORITE VELVET PIC! Her face is priceless! I LOVE IT!
