June is almost over! We have had some good and some bad weather, but we have been having fun everyday. The kids are into everything, and as you all know I let this help me with everything!
The kids helped water seal the swing. They did a pretty good job. Cut down on what I had to do.
Nancy brought them some water balloons. They were a big hit in the trampoline.
Velvet's best little friend at school broke her leg, so Velvet got busy and made her a GET WELL SOON card!
I picked up a Free Trash can that was on Craigslist the other day and on the way back home this little frog jumped off it and right on my shoulder! Scared me to death. After the initial shock we were all laughing so hard! I boxed him up until we could take him to a happy home!
Our strawberries have been growing like crazy! The kids seem to eat them faster than they grow! We have a ton of plants and don't need anymore they will just have to eat less!
After Hayden decided to chop kindling the other day and whacked his shin and foot. I decided it was time for a formal lesson. We still have a long way to go! For all of you who don't like my system just remember that the only way to learn something is to be taught the right way.
The other night we made GOO as Velvet calls it. It went well and was very interesting.
What you need:
3/4 cup cold water
1 cup Elmer’s glue
liquid food coloring
1/2 cup hot water
1 teaspoon borax (you can find this in a box in the laundry aisle)
directions:
step 1: in bowl 1 – mix together the cold water, glue, and food coloring. set aside.
step 2: in bowl 2 – mix together the hot water and borax, until the borax is completely dissolved.
step 3: slowly add glue mixture to borax mixture. mix well. pour off excess water.
Store in an airtight container and have some fun! Great rainy day project
Went to moms last week because it was raining and her and I had some sewing projects to work on. It was so quiet and nice because the kids were outside.... When I went to check on them they had the sprinkler on....
I have been taking the kids to the pool for fun and they have been loving it!
Apparently Summer is hard!
We have been having so much fun! I have more to post! Maybe tonight since I only have 1 kid! Have I ever told you that 1 is SO easy! No Fighting!
