Another project or 2!

As most of you know I am a LOVER of all things Crafty and DIY, and my dad is the KING of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (Waste not want not and anything else like that). I have been for as long as I can remember. I have been borrowing ideas for years from magazines, friends, craft fairs, blogs, even stores, but pintrest has made things a lot easier. The biggest problem with it is sometimes the directions that are given, and the product you get when finished are not the same!

Most of the time I like to try things out before I believe that it works. This was one that I was skeptical about. Ribbon in the oven....Just sounds like it will be a disaster.

I saw this and thought that the kids could make them for their teachers.

So lets get started....

Hayden wanted RED. V wanted Pink. I cut the strips and the kids glued them together.

While they were at school I decided to try this...

Turns out it works great and is pretty cool.

Then Hayden helped me put them all together while V was having a NAP!! Yes a nap it was fabulous first nap in at least 4-5 months (She was sick) we all have a cold.

Yes Nancy that is the HOT glue gun. Hayden is Very type A! Like his momma...I would never let Velvet do this probably not even next year. She is not like Hayden.

When we do a project for the teachers I really like for them to be involved. They get really excited about making it, and they can tell the teachers that they did it!

Velvet's

Last week was spirit week, Pajama day was my FAVORITE!

Lastly I have been going to make this to hang up the kids treasures after seeing it online. I had everything except the word Masterpieces laying around in the garage. I had the words cut at Creative Crafts in Corvallis which is probably my very favorite craft store! for 10$ I now have a place to hang everything the kids bring me, and trust me it is a lot!

I especially like the woman's head down below. The caption reads color her hair the same color as your moms. Hayden colored it BLACK!

(This is the one I saw)

That is about it for now. Moriah will be here tomorrow to watch the kids. I am very excited even though I am doing yard work and spraying the fruit trees it will be without interuption!
