Where to start....My dad has Jury Duty this week so my mom and I had big plans to do some embroidery sewing on the sewing machine. Lets start by saying 3 years ago when we bought the machine we had BIG plans! Then I had babies, and needless to say we have only hooked the sewing machine up to the computer once! Don't even ask what we paid for a feature that we virtually never use, but I saw something in the store the other day that I considered overpriced, and just new mom and I could make it for pennies compared to what they wanted. Which brings us to today! I preplanned for both Hayden and Velvet to go to Daycare from 9am-11am. I figured by then I should at least have something accomplished. Lets just say I was overconfident in my abilities. Then there was my mom telling me all the while we shouldn't take them. I ignored her altogether! I knew she was CRAZY. I take the kids get back and we get started. First like a idiot I try to do from memory....Then after that did not work I did the online tutorial (3times). The most important step they forget to mention is that you not only have to push start on the computer, but also the sewing machine, so yes we wasted 1 hole hour because we didn't push the start button. Then we laughed about it for the additional hour!
Needless to say we got one project of 5 done before we had to go get the kids! Once they were here my mom had a very CLEAR picture about why daycare was key to getting anything done! Velvet she is manageable! She hates to be ignored, but I can work with that. Hayden wants to be INVOLVED. Everything is "Hayden do it" He can sew, cut, thread, pin, you name it he can do it! The pressure foot is his favorite toy, he loves the thread and bobbins. Nothing is safe! It is not that he doesn't listen....well not any different than any other 2.5 year old, but my mom encourages him to help with everything. When her and I are together it makes it hard for me to get him to do anything I want!
Once we decided we should give up until nap-time we had a snack! Velvet decided she really likes peanut butter!
We did get a few more embroidered while Velvet napped and Hayden was corralled in quiet time. Then we all went outside to find some weeds for bun-bun (our bunny). Hayden spotted the wagon and so we had to use that to ride around the yard. Yes seat-belt and all. He is all about the latches.
Well that is about it for today. The house is a disaster, and it is time for bath and bed. Good Night!
Ok, now I can laugh at you!!
