This week has been nondescript. Nothing exciting. Josh, Hayden, and I have encountered a lot of LEAVES. I don't include Velvet, because that girl is the laziest little thing I have ever met. Hayden will work right with you for hours. He may rest , but he sticks with it. Velvet won't be bothered to get off the couch. We force her to start outside, but after 30 minutes we just send her to the house.
Today we raked and raked at moms. Since she is still on "Vacation". After 26 wheelbarrow loads we gave up. There is a nice dividing line however. The weather was awesome so we couldn't have picked a better day.
This week I had Hayden's 1st parent teacher conference. I really like his new teacher at Oak Heights. She had lots of good input for keeping him busy, and I was happy to here that he is doing very good. She said he listens well, does all his work, minds his manners....But he need work on keeping his hands to himself. Its a work in progress.
This is a little book that he made at Little Promises. All the pages are cute, but this one caught my eye. We don't have a chimney....Nor do we have a brick walkway....I do see that him and the dog are there? Mom I think that is your house!
I am trying to get Hayden to learn some sight words, so to keep it interesting I bought some glitter glue from the $ store and have him trace my words. He stays interested much longer than just using the flash cards.
He also enjoys finding the words in a magazine then cutting them out and gluing them to a flash card. Thank goodness for Pinterest.
This week I was asked to make bite sized desserts for the Boys and Girls club auction. I had a lot of fun these little nutella nummies were Velvet's favorite!
This is called Peanut Butter Fudge, but it is made with Candy Corn. I also made a cheesecake and some Eggnog fudge. Everything turned out pretty good!
Lastly the girls got there Christmas Costumes this week! They are very cute! I cant wait to see the program!
