The Garden!

This year the garden was extra big.... I told mom after last year lets not plant so much! We just can't keep up, but you know how Hayden and Velvet love to plant the seeds! We are giving produce away by the buckets and boxes!

The kids are between rows. The Carrots almost hide them, and the beans are 10 ft tall. I had to use a ladder to pick them!

The sunflowers are over 12 ft tall....

The kids LOVE all of it! The planting, the picking, the canning....The eating not so much!

Every pepper plant has at least 30 peppers, and there is at least 4 plants of every kind!

For amusement we planted a Watermelon. The growing season in Cascadia is very short so I was surprised to see multiple of this size.

We have been non-stop Freezing, Canning, Cutting up, and Preserving! This year has been a great year for Fruit as well. We had a ton of Apples, Plums, Berries, Pears....I am enjoying not working and have managed to stay very busy!

Tomorrow I think it is beans! Mom and I picked over a 5 gallon bucket full so I suppose we should do something with them! Next year maybe I will get her to plant less....We shall see.

Notice we have new back porch stairs....That was a much harder project than I expected, and just so you know Pausha we also ran out and bought the entire pallet of redimix from Hoy's!

I still have some cleanup to do, but they are finished and turned out good got DIY! 12 hours of hard labor! In the future I would just rent the truck!
